I'm using Avira antivirus (free version) and it's detected svchost.exe as a virus. Avira detected them at startup, the detection is listed as "TR/Agent.361542"

It found the same 2 files, once yesterday and once today. One is located in users\(me)\AppData\local\temp\svchost.exe.

The other is located in users\(me)\AppData\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\content.IE5\(95CYE9AW was yesterday, EXFP76KE was today's)\scvhost[1].exe

I couldn't find the appdata folder, so I had to manually type it into the folder path at the top of the window. Not sure if this is weird. I looked in the temporary internet files, and there was a svchost.exe that I found, but my antivirus missed. I ran cccleaner and cleared the cookies from my browsers, now I can't find it again. Maybe it's gone?

In the last couple weeks, my GPU has been running hot, and since these files have been quarantined, my gpu temps have gone down by 15 degrees. and the voltages might have lowered as well. Leading me to believe that they are connected. There has also been some freezing when loading certain websites, but only lasting about 15-25 seconds before resuming.

Along with the four detections in the last 2 days, there were 2 detections back in march.

listed as EXP/FLASH.straconn.gen found in users\(me)\AppData\local\Opera\Opera\cache\(g_0078 and g_0000)\(opr00IK.tmp and opr00pd2.tmp). each were found a couple days apart.

I don't have much experience with taking care of viruses, and I hope this wasn't too long or confusing. But if the Sages of this site could help me, I would sacrifice many sheep and burnt offerings.
