A few days ago I started to have a problem with tracking cookies on my computer. Occasionally when I click to go on websites, I'll instead be redirected to an advertisement instead and I also am sometimes getting random popups or small boxes on the side of the page with similar adverts. The advert links are adan1.xtendmedia.com and ad.yieldmanager.com (and possibly others? but these are 2 examples which I've noticed most). I looked up the problem, and found out these are apparently tracking cookies, and I followed instructions to delete them (there was a long list of cookies which caused the ad problem, and I found the majority of them in my saved cookies) and block 3rd party cookies from tracking. However, I'm still getting the problem after this. AVG scans didn't notice anything in a scan, and I downloaded a McAfee free trial, which also said there were no problems on the computer after I did a scan.
There are lots of people posting about this problem online, but they all seem to have different responses of what to do, so I thought I'd ask here to get the best solution for my specific circumstance. I'm on Windows 7, and use Google Chrome as my browser. Please let me know if there's any other information I need to give, and what I can do to get rid of this problem. Thanks a lot!
