BitTorrentControl_v12 Community Toolbar

Hiya, I'm gunna confess I was using the bittorrent program and has long since been un-installed for a month or so. I've been ruthlessly searching the internet on how to remove this bittorrent toolbar and I can't seem to find a way to get rid of it completely. It is a popular search, the common method is to click the Settings for Chrome, goto "Tools" then "Extensions" and then remove it there. It works for most people but there's some people who have problems.

Here's the story:

I was on a new tab on Google Chrome when life was normal. I see my email in the corner is selectable feature of the New Tab window... and I click on that. I guess at some point Chrome now allows you to create "Users." When I make a new User, a new Chrome window appears and extensions seem to automatically install. Skype, Adblocker and Bittorrent toolbar will install.

Each time I create a User or Profile, these extensions get re-installed. So I've done the following:

  • I've gone into the Extensions and removed BitTorrentControl_v12. I close Chrome then re-open a fresh new Chrome. A bittorrent webpage loads in a second new tab, and re-installs the toolbar and extension. (See image below)

  • Next, I delete anything "bittorrent" related in the "Program Files" folder, then repeat above. Another fresh new Chrome, the second tab again with the bittorrent webpage.

  • I've done the above again and uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it. The problem persists.

  • I've re-done all the above again, gone to the "Default" folder under C:\Users\(User)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data folder and deleted it, then uninstalled Chrome and re-installed Chrome. (Supposedly resets Chrome to default settings). The toolbar re-installs still.

  • I've re-done above, gone into Regedit and searched for any "torrent" keys and deleted them. The toolbar comes back even still.

I'm out of ideas and exhausted from searching the internet for 3 straight hours on fixing this issue. And what's even worse is I recently discovered System Restore had not been creating check points, I literally have no Restore points to wind back to. I've never known there was some kind of setup for getting this feature to behave accordingly. That's another issue for another time.

I just want to find the source of the re-installing toolbar extension issue and remove it forever. Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated, I will be referring to this topic as often as I can. My apologies if this issue has been resolved before, if there is a topic someone can re-direct me to, I'd appreciate that also.
