I currently have adware that only effects my browsers. When I open a fresh window of any of my browsers it goes to random adware sites, but if I open a new tab it goes to the normal tab window.
This is the only time the adware effects my browsers, but when it opens for the first time my desktop icons flash and refresh. I dont know why it refreshes the desktop icons but thie seems suspicious to me and tells me that it's doing more than just giving me ads.
I ran malwarebytes and avast. Avast quarantined some adware files that had the same date of detection as when the adware started.I told avast to delete those files and I restarted the computer but the ads were still showing up on the browser startup (I am currently running avast on a boot scan to see if it picks anything up I will update this post accordingly)
Is there anything else I should be trying that would help?
Are there any other programs that I can use to get rid of this adware?
Will restoring my computer to a previous session take care of the adware if I can't get rid of it?
My computer is running Windows 10, with an AMD FX6200 cpu, and an Asus M588V-Evo motherboard.
