I am a technician at a school. We run ThirtySeven4 Anti-virus. A teacher called me in with a screen that showed the attached messages. I went to programs and features in the control panel and deleted all programs that had been installed yesterday. They were smiley and smileyfiles and pro viewer. I then restarted the computer and the same messages came up. I then scanned the computer with our virus program using all of its options which include a malware scan, a rootkit scan and ......... They came back with no viruses detected. I then tried to restore the program to an earlier time. After it restarted it said there was an error trying to restore and it did not work. It also came back with the same error messages. I can not get the network card to work. It says it is not configured correctly. When I go in to try and check IP, DNS and Gateway addresses it tries to open than states that Windows Explorer has stopped working and it closes the program. I have tried to restore to 5 different restore point and none of them have worked. I have tried to copy files using Windows Easy Transfer it won't even open. I have tried to create a back up through the Control Panel and get an error message. I did the sfc /scannow and it found no errors. I tried system repair and it found no errors. I tired to reinstall windows but needed to uninstall Service Pack 1 first. It hangs up during uninstall. I don't know what else to try. Any help would be appreciated. This is a Windows 7 machine with Service Pack 1. It is a Dell Optiplex 755.
