Internet Explorer Endless Crash Loop

Hi there, this is my first online help forum post, so please bare with me :)
Firstly, my system is a Windows Vista 32-bit: Service Pack 2.
Ok the problem.

When I log on, all my startup programs start and load up as normal, and then about 2 minutes after login, a message stating "windows explorer has stopped working" then "windows explorer is restarting". This happens twice. Then my desktop goes blank including my start bar, spare the wallpaper. I am able to still run SOME programs using task manager.

This has only been doing it for a day, and no amount of restarts has helped :( This has never happened before to me. When I run my anti-virus programs they also pick up no threats.

I have found the incident in eventviewer, and these are the details it shows. Note, in eventviewer is displays the information under "application error".
