hit by "homeland security" got around it, but...

I was hit by homeland security virus,
Got around it by jabbing at control+alt+delete and ctrl+esc while jabbing at startup menu....opened a dozen plus firefox windows and got in! I have the same firm grasp on my system as a soon-to-be-toppled dictator...
Want to restore ....

I run Windows XP home svc pk 3on a several-year old dell desktop. Can't access system info, seems to be blocked...computer system properties comes up blank! I just want to get my clunker back.
Can't get in via f8 to any form of "safe mode" (tried several times)

can't get system restore to work....keeps getting blocked.

Thinking of wiping HD and starting over.....

Oh, yeah, my DVD drive got bashed, and I have to replace it first....
I am on the computer now and reluctant to do too much because earlier i closed too many firefox windows and lost control and had to wrest it back. All programs seem to run normally as long as firefox windows (14 of them) are open, but getting logged onto my computer is a challenge and requires a lot of patience. and key punching. but it works.....
