I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but since it involves Combofix I took a shot.
I recently removed a hard drive from an older laptop and repurposed it as an external drive.
Apparently Combofix was installed on this drive sometime in the past. I have NEVER installed Combofix on my current laptop.
I noticed that the Combofix directory on the external hard drive includes all of the drive and subdirectories of my laptop's drive, even though, again, I have not installed Combofix on my current laptop.
I want to format the repurposed external drive but I am concerned this the formatting process will follow the directory paths to my internal drive and format this as well.
Are my concerns valid or do I not need to worry about this happening.
Thanks to any and everyone in advance!
