Unable to update Avast or Malwarebytes

Hi, my PC is running extremely slow and I'm unable to update my Avast and Malwarebytes. My internet connection is working fine, but Avast reports it can't connect to the server. I'm also unable to close Avast. If I attempt to go to the task manager and end it's process I'm given a message that says access denied. I ran Malwarebytes, it found one threat and removed it, but it made no difference. Here are my logs. Thanks.
