Windows 7 64bit
Hi,
I first noticed a problem when my computer began running slowly. Typing, scrolling through webpages, and just general usage was oddly slow. So I opened my Task Manager and saw that my cpu was at a constant 100% usage. I went to the Processes tab and saw that it was taskmgr.exe, but I'm assuming this is some sort of virus. Also when rebooting my pc, I get the following message (attached: Capture.jpg). When I click on the button I get the following window (attached Capture2.jpg).
I ran a full scan with AVG and I didn't get any messages. When I restart in Safe Mode, the problem doesn't occur.
If anyone could offer help for getting rid of this, I would greatly appreciate it. At this point it looks like I will need to reformat my machine, which I really would not like to have to do. Also, let me know if there is any more information I can offer that would make diagnosing the problem easier.
Thank you so much.
