Redirect Nightmare

Yesterday my husband noticed that the computer started redirecting. He also noticed a problem with updating a virus program and so tried to install a new onw AVG Free 2013. Instead it insalled AVG Link Scan, even when we took the download from our laptop which had correctly installed anti-virus from that same exact file. Something we noticed last night was that the computer would not go into sleep mode even though the settings are correct. Here are the logs:

In addition I ran TDS Killer and no issues were found.
I was advised to run combofix and, beforehand, disable any anti-virus software. Since we deleted ours last night that should not have been a problem however when I ran it it came up with a warning that AVG 2012 (the old virus) was running. The problem is that I cannot find the folder anywhere. And the guy at tech Guy logged off at that point so I am kind of stuck at this point.
