I was skyping on my computer this morning. Then I watched a couple of videos.
Then my computer locked up, my camera came on, and then a white screen came on that said my PC is locked due to violations of code such and such.
It has the FBI seal on the top left, and it apparently took my picture asnthat is on there also.
It says the only way to unlock is to pay a fine of $200 with a prepaid credit card.
It covers the whole screen, and there is apparently no way to exit.
I have tried re-Booting, and even re-booting in safe mode to no availe.
Has anybody ever heard of this? Is it a virus, or might it be ligit. I'm not going to say I am a choir boy when it comes to web surfing, but I have not done anything that is, to my knowelege, illegal.
Please help.
