Hi,
I'm not sure if this have happened to anyone of you but for the past few months I can't seem to get rid of this spam/virus crap out of my computer. Actually I did somehow for a few days and it came back and now I can't get rid of it. This spam/virus only happens/show up when I'm logged into my Credit card online accounts and when it does show up, I can't access or do anything in my online account. I get this message:
In order to avoid fraud, we must verify your identity. We ask several questions. Only you can answer these questions. This information is used for security reasons, to protect you from identity fraud. Please make sure you complete all required information correctly.
This same message have also show up in my ebay account as well but somehow after running a few virus/malware scans, it never show up in my ebay account again but still exist in my credit card online accounts. I have contacted my credit card companies and they were no help at all because they said my computer is infected. So far, I have tried running these software and no help at all:
1) Malwarebytes Anti-malware
2) MS Security Essentials
3) TDSSKiller
4) ComboFix (this program helps most of the time)
The most effective of these 4 software was ComboFix, it did manage to get rid of spam/viruses most of the time. And the most common infected files detected when running ComboFix was:
1) atapi.sys
2) userinit.exe
I know some people say "userinit.exe" is a spam/virus because it tracks your user information such as passwords, etc..and some say it's not. Can someone help me out or point me to the right direction of trying to get rid of this freakin spam/virus? It's annoying me because I can't access my credit card online. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!
