I removed Vipre and now can only get limited access via wireless networks.....why?

A few weeks ago I uninstalled Vipre and lost all internet access for a short time. I found some instructions on the internet on additional bits that needed to be uninstalled to really be rid of Vipre and since then I have only had 'Limited Access' on the wireless network at home and at my partner's place even though both say there is excellent strength.

Any ideas on what is the cause of this and how I can rectify it?
