Hi,
I have tried unsucessfully to resolve this issue myself so I thought I'd see if anyone else knows how to deal with it.
About a week ago while trying to watch a TV show online a pop-up appeared which refused to be closed; then my laptop shut down, I reckoned I had gotten a virus so upon turning my computer back on I ran a Virus scan, which yielded no results; and then Windows Defender turned off, it seems to have been disabled, followed by some strange activity from my AVG virus scanner (the e-mail checker turns off every 5 or so seconds). After a bit of tweaking I found over 700 threats with my resident shield, the majority of which were tracking cookies (Thankfully I had turned my Wi-Fi off!), the problem however was that none of the Trojans could be removed (I had about four distinctly different Trojans!), as it said object is inaccessible.
I further tweaked my AVG scan settings to pick up anything and everything; deleted the file which I suspected responsible for this: cvlwdijf.exe, However the Trojan Horse Hider.MPR remained, I managed to track it down, however it seems to remain for only a few seconds before disappearing!
I then turned on my internet and downloaded Malwarebytes, which won't even run ( I feel the viruses won't let it) and searched for help with regard this virus; finding myself unable to access the AVG website or indeed any other relevant tech website (Microsoft, certain forums etc...)
It really has me worried now as I can't afford a new laptop and am unable to remove it and cannot install any new programs, as I don't want to turn my Wi-Fi on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S My laptop will shut down if I try to run it in Safe Mode and it seems like System Restore has been disabled aswell...
