Of course I wouldn't dl it on purpose, but I went to a website and missed a letter. Have to love those typo websites. :( Anyways, I thought it was firefox requesting an update. It said something about the firefox media player needs to update, so I just blindly clicked through the prompts without thinking. Not sure if that helps, but I realized something was wrong once it installed and nothing happened on firefox. It kept telling me to update and I didn't understand what happened, so like a moron I downloaded it again. This time when it did nothing I realized that there was a major problem and I imediately left the page. Now it has been 2 days and I'm already seeing a major issue in performance. Also it might just be my paranoia but it seems like it might be some kind of adware and thats possibly flooding my comp making it slow down. The reason I say this is because I'm seeing an abundance of banner ads that normally would not be there. Even as I'm loading a new page I see a flash of an ad and then it loads the page I was trying to get to. Didn't mean to ramble just trying to explain as much as possible. Please let me know if there is any more info that I can give you and of course thank you so much in advance for the help!

Also, I'm sure I didn't start this right, but I cannot read the first steps post. Evertime I click on it the thread opens and then automatically redirects me to mypcbackup.com. I can't read anything on the thread without this happening and I wont dl this without some sort of official direction. Sorry if I am doing something wrong.
