Potential trojan infection?

Hi, so computer has slowed down incredibly over the past few weeks but it hasn't gotten to a point where help was required until now. I tried to figure out what could be running so i opened the task manager to find both: multiple instances of the "dllhost.exe 32 COM Surrogate" and "chrome.exe 32" which just eat the available memory until the computer can no longer run. I have done some research and from what I can tell, the issue may or may not be a Trojan on the computer.

So, I was wondering whether this is likely a Trojan of if its some kind of corrupt file that can be fixed? Also, most of the sources with information on this type of issue say that there are multiple scanners and forms of protection that can be downloaded, but later posts in the forums only show that the programs detected nothing whatsoever.
I would really appreciate any help I can get on this matter!
