I work for a non-profit organization and we really do not have an IT department so that responsibility defaults to me since I am the most familiar with computers which isn't saying a lot.
I am working on this one computer that keeps showing the BSOD. It is running Windows 7 Home Premium with SP1 (64-bit). In the course of working on it, there was one time that Microsoft Security Essentials detected Trojan:DOS/Alureon.A. Unfortunately, I haven't really been able to remove it properly because the computer doesn't stay on long enough for me to do anything at all (BSOD keeps coming up) and I'm also not sure how to remove it.
Consequently, I am not able to download the software to post logs. I'm actually sending this message using another computer. I guess I can re-install Windows but I'm hoping to avoid that.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
