Windows 7 64 bit (whatever other info is needed, let me know)
I recently had what I figured was adware but had a lot on my table so unfortunately I neglected it and eventually my HD failed and I had to start over. Now, less than 3 weeks later, fresh install and it's happening again; absurd amount of ads (on-screen, pop-ups, new tabs, you name it), crashing, freezing, script errors, the whole nine yards as well as an occasional Bing searchbar at the top of FF (which I do not see as an installed application under listed programs) upon starting my laptop today, the second I opened Mozilla Firefox. Also getting numerous script errors so that I really can't use FF at all. I am typing this out on IE and while there are a few ads it is mostly fine. Anyways, from the last time I was using my latop to now I have downloaded NO sort of software or files of ANY kind so I'm a bit confused as to how this happened. I also have no illegal software of any kind. I'm basically still fresh off a new Windows install and I am very worried. I also have had my Norton warn of two consecutive virus hazards it removed back to back directly before posting this topic (one being a Trojan and the second being something that mentioned a "cloud," both of which were apparently removed by Norton). I've rarely ever had ANY real threats over the course of owning this laptop, let alone two in less than 10 minutes. No idea what is going on or if these threats are related to the ads (I figure they are).
In light of all this, I started to following the steps listed in the forum for running the required files but I just got to the "gmer" file and it keeps failing, I just get a message saying it has stopped working.
Where do I go from here? Sorry if I may have missed anything I should have put down, I'm a little rattled to be having this problem again so soon. Let me know any information not here that I need to share.
