I have an update on the problem. I had my friend come over with an electric dust blower and look at my computer. The computer now seems to work fine when the pc's case is open or when I place the computer on the floor in front of my computer desk. Does this mean it's an environmental issue (overheating, dust clogging a component, etc.) or is this an issue with software/hardware?
